Hi and Welcome,

Firstly we are going to need to know what engine is in the Legacy and what engine is in the Liberty?

Liberty is the Australian version of the worldwide Legacy. Both cars are available in many different engine configurations.

Cheers,
Paul

Ok the 1993 Legacy is an RS Turbo. This has the EJ20G engine and has a completely different wiring loom to the 1996 Liberty EJ22 engine. It can be done as the engine can swap over but you'll need a lot of other parts than just the engine, i.e. crossmember, exhaust, ECU, etc.

I'd suggest you buy a 1996 WRX 1/2 cut as this is a lot closer to your car.
