Brumby worth repair????

Hi guys (& girls???) I have a 1989 Brumby that I bought for a farm ute last Christmas it drives ok but the previous owner went "4WDRIVEING" & put it up on the passenger side dameged the rear quarter, door & front guard. Also he reckoned that he bent the subframe. The upside is it does have the factory sunroof (Targa top) & it's RED
.
The big question is should I put it back on the road or are there heaps of these around.
It's working out well as a farm ute. But it might be a good first car for my oldest boy ( he's 12 now)

Mate if the sub frame is not bent then I reckon it would be worth putting back on the road. My understanding is that there are not too many of the Targa Tops still running around. Maybe you should post some pics of it.

All depends,ie if you can do the mech. And pay for body works, do it, it will be worth something, start it now as a father son project for when he gets his license, you got the time to do it so it won't break the bank, and learn the boy something other than play station. Just fix it up and enjoy a project, you won't lose out.

Oh he's gonna learnsome car stuff
We have had a 78 Mini clubman in the back yard for a few years. Egine is out now. & the body is pritty stipped. We have been doing some pannel beating minor dents etc.
Easy on Minis you can get most bits new.
i'll see if I can find the Pics I have on the Brumby (on my old phone I think) & put them up on Picasa (or whatever it's called).
Big issue is the trim around the Targa has been hammered. Rear quarter has been hammered as well but that can be repaired or replaced. but the little chrome bits might be a headache.
(previous owner did a good number on it) But It makes a good farm ute..
Might have to look for some cheap aggresive tires for getting up & down hills on the farm. The 300Lt spray unit fits nicely in the back with my deisle generator & Compressor.

To answer the title's question: So long as you're not cutting out half a brumby to replace the rust I say it's worth repairing!
