NSW plate checker - Vortex in magazine

Was looking at the plates on a bluey silverish Vortex on a test drive with a magazine from back in the day

NSW RTA plate check came up them once belonging to a 1983 Renault unknown coupe last registered 1997. OK, plates have been shifted about. But then I see a common Subaru tare weught of 1040 kg ?

Just wondering if someone made a big mistake calling a Vortex a Renault ?
