what for 400,000km service on a Brumby?

A moment to capture ....gets camera out...gets warning no space ....memory card still in reader at home....BINGO! Reach down and disconnect cable from back of speedo head and wait 'til home
The engine has already done 500,000km (last 130,000km in the other Brumby) , just waiting for the rest of it to catch up.
Oil change due at least, gave it a new coil and ignition module and leads recently for good measure, and had the bits anyway

I had a chuckle at the fact you pulled the speedo cable to get this photo. Now it's incorrect!
500k km on the engine, impressive! Been rebuilt I presume?

Watch this space for the 500,000 to tick over! I was impressed when i had the cluster out to replace the crash pad with a nice one. The cogs of the speedo was still well greased up - ensuring this cluster keeps ticking over. The original donk engine number seemed to match with another 92 Brumby VIN and eng # wise when compared. Given the amount of black crud encasing the original engine when it came out - it was the original, suspect no work done on it. I scrubbed it to like new, gave it new seals and gaskets and stuck it in the other Brumby to knock up a further 130,000km to hit the 500,000km mark. Nothing on the 800,000km Brumby I know of - working as a delivery ute for a fang mechanic now retired I suspect. Odo did not make it that far - was just averaging 40,000km a year , no engine work at all !!
Bennie, surely, over 400,000km a 20km correction needs to occur to bring things back to true
Ha, now that it has been declared disconnected no one could suspect either way if I was stationary or moving when this pic was taken

Not this Brumby, still gets up and boogies - as much as a rebored/cammed EA81 can
A regap of the plugs should have been first thing on the cards when chasing a savage low rev/high load flat spot. Took me no more than 15 minutes this arvo, to find the culprit - last plug ya look at as always. Closed the gaps from 0.8mm down to 0.6mm , as I should have done when she went LPG. Found one sitting at 1.0mm. WHUMP gone !
