EA82Tsensor at back of turbo? green wire

looking from the front there is a single green wire that is from a sensor of some sort that looks to be screwed in to bottom of turbo below dump pipe and has a round plug similar to the oxygen sensor pllug nearby (which has a black wire and connected) the green wire is not connected and cannot see its mate

thinking it may be an import EA82T as opposed to the original ?

thanks,

I have a dump pipe that has the o2 sensor just behind the turbo and has a 2nd sensor just below the cat converter, is this what you mean?

My dump pipe is from an import motor

it is an import engine. think it was used to tell yoiu when to replace the cat. my old sedan had it and the light to match.

apologies for the vague description

the sensor? is actually screwed into the crossover pipe just before the turbo.
I'd better hok it up and see if I can get any readings out of it. must be ohms I suppose.

that one will be the O2 sensor. the other one is behind it

One of them is the exhaust temp sensor.

The O2 sensor is pretty obviously the black wired one from its outside appearance ...and exhaust temp sensor is a pretty good suggestion esp as it looks different to an O2 sensor. gauge on my shopping list maybe.

thanks all

That postion is correct, in the top of the crossover pipe near the turbo exhaust inlet base. Green wire goes to wiring loom going along firewall down to gearbox. Yes it connects to a black wire that is shielded (screened - that is cut back here and doesnt extend to sensor)
This is a narrow band O2 sensor and outputs a voltage signal to the ECU for off boost tuning.

Mine has the "other" sensor too - the temp compensation sensor, as its an import motor too. It was to monitor the exhaust temp out from the cat.
This doesnt apply if you are using a N/A MPFI ECU, as it never had this.
