Inside this mag is a road test on a 1986 Touring Wagon written by Jeff Carter.
Sounds to have done admirably well considering...considering he writes it can rev to 8,000rpm, over geared and underpowered in some gears, blew the AC / clock fuse on him, windscreen developed a crack from a side, his octogenerian mum liked it.
I went to the nsw rta website to check the status of the plate ofk 525 and the details you can all look at but not share? with others in the conditions ? is that the blue 86 wagon is still clad with those same plates.
Incidentally , Mr Carter states he is a fan/owner of many Porsches, his wife a repat offender - my words not his, at buying MY Subes
I recall in the last 18 months a dealer telling the AWD super jet of same German manufacturer slightly used but new had a new engine number coz the journos trying it out musta done something to it.
My bet is ofk525 is still same engine !!
Mag also has info on Subes CVT trans, Ford XR GT anniversary and PB's polariser demiser story.
Not sure if a motoring journo would in todays PC world suggest he has hit 160kph, mentioning 140kph cruising speed is attainable in the same paragraph that tells you he is on the public highway hoping to avoid the fuzz
once again !!
