Opinions on what to do with these wheels

I bought a set of 17" gen 2 GTB alloys that have been powdercoated gold with the intention on putting them on my red Outback. When I got them and put them up against the Outback I realised they clashed with the silver lower body cladding. If the whole car was red I wouldnt have an issue.

A quick session with photoshop shows how they might look

I think they would be better if they were silver

What should I do????

If I could find somebody with a set of similar alloys who would swap them for a set of factory coloured ones I would.

My other 3 options are to .....
1. Strip them with acetone and clearcoat over the alloy
2. Rough up the powdercoating and paint over it with some 2-pack colour of my choice
3. Have them re-powdercoated in a more suitable colour

Im looking for the most cost effective option as this is just my daily driver

What are your thoughts????

+1.

The gold cladding looks awesome against a red body. You can offset the cost of painting the cladding against the cost of stripping/painting the wheels. I believe you can get spray can paint for plastic so wont be too expensive ;)
