I was just looking thru the ebay website and noticed that the US Brats had engines from 1800 - 2000 - 2200 - 2500. Does anyone know if these are interchangeable with our Brumbys. I would expect that they would be close to a simple drop in......... maybe that is just wishful thinking!!!:D

Im pretty sure they only ever had EA81's. Some parts parts like oil pressure switches and water temp senders are common to all those engines you listed.

I'm keen to know how you got onto this as there are reproduction badges to replace the original 1800 badges with what ever (EJ) litreage you have - sleeper style

To the OP the stickers you see on
eBay US are for people who have transplanted different EJ or ER series engines. Hence the larger capacities. There were never any Brats sold with larger than 1800cc engines originally.

I think this topic should be added into/made into a sticky, the question comes up often enough, maybe a FAQ for Brumby/MY owners

Yeah had some issues with my internet last night - it was frustratingly slow!
Sorry about the double post, I'll delete one of them
