hi guys i got another question for ya

my ea82T i just converted into my L wags has no knock sensor on it that plugs into the small loom that goes to the dizzy..is the sensor needed for the car to oparate correctly ?? my motor is running strange, when under boost the motor is hesitating through the power curve like its cutting fuel in and out but its not pinning... I'm worried it has something to do with the computer.. i have changed the MAF sensor/ whole dizzy and coil and still the same, but i do have the timing advanced 3 markings past 10.. i have the rx fuel pump in it but the L series lines are smaller as are the outlets on the tank.. any imputs would be awesome , thanks heaps had my head in the motor for 2 days

Just a guess, but you may need a surge tank up under the hood. Use a low pressure pump to lift the fuel to the surge tank, then the high pressure loop can just return to the tank. I had simillar problems with my supercharger install, which was fuel starve from the HP pump drawing air.
Regards

Standard timing for EA82T is 20 degrees BTDC. You might have it on 16 now at 750 rpm/800rpm
If using 3 plug ECU you also have the separate knock sensor control box ?
Flapper afm, dizzy with guts and four wire module inside
If using 4 plug ECU, a no real guts dizzy and hotwire AFM

haha yes i saw that today, i set the timing to 22d and is loving it now,and running perfect except it still has trouble starting.. might not worry about the knock sensor if i don't need it..

Only by running an aftermarket ecu.

Or go dedicated LPG. Starting issues may be something to do with cold start not working correctly - may need some slight pedal action as you start
