hey fellas,
i'm going to look at a very cheap EJ20 Na front cut later this sarvo, and a thought just crossed my mind....
the engine is connected to an auto box, and as i don't want auto, i will be buying without the box..... But is there any difference between the stud patern to connect the auto box to engine over the manual box???
I know that some old holdens have different stud patterns between their auto and manual enigines and boxes...
hope you guys understand what im talking about
cheers

If you need it I've got a FWD 5 speed EJ manual box, has 23 spline stub axles so EA shafts go straight on to it.

Are you sure? I'm pretty sure my FWD 5 speed has 25 spline stubs, didn't know they made them with 23!!

Definitely fits, counted it 3 times to be sure and to finish the arguement with myself I stuck an MY cv cup onto the stub, fit perfectly, still found it hard to believe but there you go.

Good stuff Simmo, keep us posted and if you have any problems with the conversion bring them forth. :D

Baron, you realise I might find my way to Robertson within the next month, so you'd better not be telling porkies :D. Looks like I need to find a new gearbox :P.
