my "subaru" charade was sideswiped two sundays ago... went shopping in another car, parked as you see below, and came home to see this:



it drove ok'ish ...

today, i got a phonecall, telling me that the car has been written off!!

damage is as you can see, the rear shock absorber creaks going over speed humps, and the steering is vague.

so.....

time for a new car....

$10K is what im prepared to spend this time....
i want a wagon, economical, all the bells and whistles..

any suggestions??

You want a 4x4 Lib wagon with full offroad setup.
Something like Seagull's rig - he's got it forsale for 10 grand I beleive. You might be able to find a similar one closer to you, or probably build one for similar price if you keep the EJ22 in it. Seagull has done a full EJ20turbo conversion on his so it's good value.

i'm going to be aiming for a GEN2 Liberty GX (RX...i wish!) Wagon, AWD, preferably Automatic. All the cushy bits!! Leccy windows minimum!! :P. No leather (no Brett, not hosing out this one!! )

oh, and the lower the km's the better...

plan in the future would be to follow brett's & redback's footsteps, with some serious lift, EJ20 Turbo, and a VTD auto tranny... probably all will be carried out when I return from overseas!!
