G'day,
I hope you have heaps of pics from the show and shine.
I haven't been to one for a couple of years but whenever I did there was always some interesting vehicle and also people.
I bet Tweety will be a big hit at the Melbourne do.

thanks olddog642 but I never got to the show and shine.
I ahd the regulator replaced a couple of weeks ago. it was pumping out 18 volts. that blew the module out in the dizzy and headlight bulbs. Then night before the show and shine the battery was flat. was a new one 8 months ago. Charge all night had no effect.
And its an odd size, most are too tall and would rub on the underside of the drivers seat. So very disappointing. Next year I suppose. The Euroa show and shine is a big event here now.
Overvoltage and battery

The 18V will have trashed your battery too- boiled off the water and warped the plates. Still happens even if you have SLA/gel-cell, etc. Once warped, the plates in a cell can touch and short out that cell. A 12V lead-acid battery with a 'dropped' cell will return ~10.7V when charged.

thanks Pitrck 1.
Yes, cana gree there. the battery is a sealed type lead acid. there is a small round window and suppose to be green and was blank. battery guy at Shepparton said he'd give it some shock treatment (?) and see in the morning how it comes up. Wont be any good. he'll replace it. good local service me hopes.

Well I had the best intentions to making a visit, now I don't feel so bad! I ended up starting my day later due to day light savings, then cutting grass all day before doing other things that saw us back home at midnight with school the next day!
I'm still recovering!
Cheers

Yeh I thought the same when you told me you couldnt get there. The guy that built my trike roof is one of the organisers of the S&S. Two years ago I missed the event because the roof wasnt finished, last year I was a week late installing this sweet engine now battery. Next year....it'll be there.
Hey Beenie, imagine working throught the night in security midnight to noon 12 hours straight 2 days then noon to midnight 2 days then 4 days off. it was hell. (Puckapunyal 1994-1999). You never recover.
Anyway good to see you have work. We'll chat soon when I come over.
