Not often you'll find a luxo car as a stick shift Cam
Was more thinking of our UK based member snapping it up - right from under our noses

I think I've only ever seen two in the flesh, one very local not long ago parked in someones front yard, the other quite a few years ago before I knew what they were. The window-in-a-window makes them quite memorable

I can only think of five or six in all the years I have known of them. The first went sailing past me in a 100 zone, closely followed by da fuzz

, a couple have sat around looking less loved. A mates dad has one, gotta tie him down one day to compare the Vort

I worked in a car yard one summer during high school back in the day.
Adelaide members will know Solitaire Motors on Belair road - top end dealership for Jag, VW, Audi etc.
I remember washing in the blazing December sun a burgundy SVX - 'reduced to $59,990 for a quick sale'.
I think they on the road north of $80K when new.
~$3K is about right. Today, they are still a very comfortable, stable car (read heavy), and slow despite the 6 cylinder. There is a US based SVX forum like ours which is always interesting reading - esp when they add twin puffers to move the girls along...

The guy that tried to sell us one reckoned there were only 250 that came to Aus.
True?

Not sure exactly how many were brought into Australia but knowing the cost of them new was around $88,000 and the average cost for a new home in 1992 was around $100,000, then I'm guessing numbers wouldn't have been too high.

Not to many cars increase in value

In that time the house has gone from ~$100k to ~$400k.
A car with similar luxury and performance is what? ~$150k max?
So relatively speaking, luxury cars are heaps cheaper, and regular cars are basically free.

Unique cars mention that at the end of sales in 1996 total sales in Australia were less than 280 vehicles. Linky:

I don't get why in the ad it says "parts or project" if its also in very good condition. Makes me suspicious.
