Remote - What is it?

Hi guys, When I bought my 2000 Impreza RX N MY01 (GC8 shape) it came with a remote device with the keys, a spare one aswell, but they never did anything so I replaced the batteries and still nothing. Does anyone know what they are? If it's remote locking I guess it's something wrong with the receiver since it's not working?

Hi and Welcome benahh-x
It certainly looks like the stock central locking remote. I would remove the trim under your steering column and see that everything is plugged in under there.

Okay, these seem to be all that isn't plugged in, should they be plugged into each other?

No they are your test mode (green) and code check (black) plugs for the ECU. They are normally unplugged and have nothing to do with the keys

Well there's nothing else ): Could the little black thing here be the receiver for it? Maybe it's broken :s
