Whats ths ECU from?

Is there anyway of finding out what model and/or year an EJ ECU is from?? I belive its a JDM ECU.

Numbers on it are...
8W
22611 AD440
MECF-B102 C3 7728

Frog might be able to help out here. I know he's usually after the VIN but hopefully he can work back from these numbers...

Description says manual transmission 1.6 litre - not sure if this is correct though

Am I right in assuming this is single point injection. It's lacking lots of wiring.

Dave do you need one or are you trying to cut the loom down. I have an EJ16 at Pauls workshop with the loom and it is a MPFI motor.

Hey Dave, The first model Impreza (I think it was 1993) was available in Australia was a 1.6 manual or 1.8 auto. Both of these were MPFI engines but the EJ16 had a very weird throttle body setup, this could explain the differences in the amount of wires.

I'm so glad you love wiring.. saves my head from exploding :D
