here is an interesting conversion, make a 4dr dual cab from a brumby and sedan, from what i can see cut the brumby infront of the b pillar and the sedan behind the b pillar cut and shut some doors for the rear and the sedan glass should line up with the brumby b pillar angle. All i need is a good brumby rear, sedan front, gas axe and a place to do it. Who is interested

Its a Brumby with L series doors, I couldn't find a MY sedan so I just used a L series instead. Its all the same anyhow right?

Nicely done, mate your a genius with photoshop, I planned to make a photoshoped dual cab brumby ages ago but never got around to it, can garuntee mine wouldn't have looked half that good.

Once upon a time I considered building a dual cab brumby, never got any further than being hypothetical, I was thinking of using something like a land cruiser troopy chasis with the dual cab brumby body on top, then run something like an EJ25 or EZ30 either into the cruiser drivetrain or into an EA82 box with a divorced transfer case, but still using the cruiser discs, hubs, wheels, etc.

You would probably have to register it as a unique vehicle, which means it would have to comply to all current adr regulations.

Would definitely be a fun project though.

why the heck would you want something as ugly as a dual cab brumby?

is a wagon too hard to live with?

Functionality more than looks, ever tried fitting a fridge in the back of your wagon?

Dual cab brumby means you only need 1 vehicle to transport the family and do some dirty work if the need arises.

Also it looks a hell of a lot better than the bloddy baja.

Thats my justification anyway.

Was that in real life or just with photo shop. The go would be to use one of the long tray brumbys released in finland.

Brumby Crewman eh? Considering the size of a rear seat in an MY (or an L for that matter) I'd be wondering why you'd bother.

You can fit 3 kids or 2 well folded adults

Adult installation instructions for MY and L series rear seats:

Fold legs at hips (forwards or backwards) until knee's can be inserted into ears, bend legs at knees until toes can be inserted in arse, wrap arms around shins tightly and tie together, place on rear seat, fasten seat belt and tighten.

OK, so maybe a dual cab Brumby isn't too practical if the tray's not extended, although it would be a great project...has anyone converted the front seats to allow 3 people across? Is there an existing bench seat somewhere and would regulations allow 3 across in a Brumby or Touring Wagon or whatever?

I think the long arsed Brumby was the real thing. I have seen other photo of long bed on the net so never sure of aunthenticity but would be good for longer star pickets and gathering wood for the sauna.

I've seen 4 photos all up, 4 different Brat's. One was an obvious photochop, the others were done better. I seem to remember a post on the old board or USMB maybe with someone proving they were fictional.

What my intensions were was to streeeetch the wheelbase and have the brumby b pillar start where the sedan c pillar was, hence full 4 door capacity as well as the full brumby tray and back window, if someone can show me how the photoshop works i'll try and do one there
