Don't know much about it, sept it goes and is unregistered.
It didn't pass rego inspection cause off rust.
We agreed @ $370 delivered and it will be here tuesday arvo.
options
1: patch it up register it and give it another 12mths on the road/Beach/Bush with the family and freinds
2: if rust is way too bad take it to kempsey and bush bash it.
3: wreck it for parts.
Hey next year it could get vintage registration.
Tuesday i will have a better Idea of its condition.

Well fianally got it today.
It's got
Rust, Tow bar, air con, newish tyres, engine sounds good and started easily, HiLo 4WD and a slopy shifter. 308,000ks.
I should be able to fix the rust easily enough by blasting cutting and welding metal back in.
I reckon we will reregister it and have some fun for 12mths with it.

Nice one mate! I reckon you should keep those rims - super rare!
Why only have fun with it for 12 months? Is this meant to be a parts car?
Cheers

they are wheel trims the std wheel are underneath. NB 5 stud on the trims.
Bennie I am only gunna do 1/2 a job on the rust and after 12 mths i'd imagine more rust will come through, but yes it was originally bought as a parts car but too good to wreck ATM.
I have a HD Bull bar I pulled off a Brumby which will make its home on this car for a while. (its gunna need it)
OH yer roof racks for the fishing rods and a CD player fitted.
It also has snail trails all over the front of it. LOL

I've either got some gas inserts for 83 struts, or when you , if you wreck it, you've got struts for my inserts

They're hub caps, no doubt about it! I was just stirring
Sounds like a plan revmax! Better do a good job on it, I can see one family becoming quite attached to that vehicle!

I recognise those hubcaps. For a while I thought it was 5 stud converted, so I pulled in for sticky beak, only to be disappointed.
It was always parked outside the first servo on the left as you drive into town, just past the yellow shed.

OH Looks like those wheel trims have tricked a few of us, yes myself included.
Yer got it from one of our customers.
Just crawled underneath and it has some serious rust in front of the rear wheels.
Fixable I think with lots of cutting and welding but I have not lost hope yet.

LOL NO!!!
Getting some ideas on how to cut the rust out and put metal back in though.
Need some sheet metal experience or a sheetie to guide me.
I will take some photos tomorrow ad show yas what I am up against.
I can almost fit my hand in the holes ATM.

I know where there is a MY coupe body that's pretty rust free that could be cut up for patch panels. Also comes with a full fawn / tan interior and working digital dash that would look good in a brumby.
