Post by shuffbag » Tue Jun 26, 2012 9:05 pm

just matching part numbers between ej22 and ej25 water pumps, leeds me to belive they are the same thing?
i have a ej25 parts motor and a ej22 in my liberty that appears to be with a dud water pump, it heats at a stand still and drops as soon as you start moving :( could be my problem?

I should say I found this out in a drive through and building the rev's slowed the rise in temperature.

Double check where the thermostat is on the 25 water pump and where it is on the 22 water pump. I know my 25 wont take a 22 water pump. The thermostat is facing different directions. That is standard any way.
