That engine looks like a freshly degreased (or maybe just very wet) EA82 Turbo, or EA82T for short.

Came out standard in the turbo variant of the same model as you have. Basically a straight swap across if your car was originally MPFI, quite a hefty job if it was originally a carby EA82.

Oh, and welcome to the boards.

You'll find there's plenty of Subaru knowledge here and most of us are very forthcoming with it.

There's also quite a few members of this site based in Perth too. I'm one of them 8)

Vidler, I did the exact same thing to a guy at SuperCheap Balcatta last week !!
Beige L series Sportswagon, 2 or 3" lift kit - standard otherwise. P plate in the window. Left him a note about the forums.

ahaha, I just read the thread in member's rides! The other note was me! That's an unbeleivable co-incidence.

Welcome Matty, good to see another EA82T wagon in WA.

Funny that about SuperCheap, thats where I saw Subarino's mate Kliff one time (Lifted GL-5). That got me interested in lifting mine etc.

This is the Supercheap on Erindale Rd? What a coincidence!

I heard some turbo two door Leone was doing silly speeds (teaching a Commodore a lesson) past there on Saturday night!!

P.S. I do have an alibi, I was at home brushing up on my crochet skills. My mate who was in the passenger seat can verify this.
