hey everyone, just need to know how to remove the rear seats of my vortex due to i'm replacing my roof skin and i have tried to take them out but always failed lol.

I can't remember exactly but the you have to drop down the vertical cushion, Have to lift down the strip pull thing. Mine is worn after that many years of use and i have to push on the seat backwards so that i can pull the strip and in turn it unlocks the seat and it folds down. Then i think there are some 12mm bolts on each side at the back. Maybe in the middle too.

Unbolt the bottom piece and remove, this will expose the bolts for the other seat. You will need to pull the little strap like Guyph mentioned, so the seat will come away from the lay-down catch arrangement.

thanks for the reply guys, but wat happens if you dont have the keys to fold down the seat, because when i first got the car you could start the car with a spoon cos the orignal barrel was changed.

From memory, any vortex (or L.Series) key will turn it.

But I doubt a spoon will

yer if i had a vortex key i geuss that would help but i dont have one lol, but if i can take off the door handle can they make a key from that and would that work?

Hi Johnny.
Yes a good locksmith will be able to cut you a new key just take the lock barrel to them.
