polariser ? that mystery item and old Brumby ash tray take up space of a kids lunchbox - i could use the space. maybe just use the sulo bin as temporary storage space - until garbage night ?

My money's on fuel pump control module. Other possibilities are flasher relay and wiper control module.

Yep.. it's the Revolution Sensor Module
From my understanding, it's there for the A/C unit. It sensors whether the engine is turning or not and allows the A/C compressor to kick in or not.
