Is this normal? Only had this outback for 5 weeks and we seem to be going through fuel ridiculously or the fuel gauge is wrong. Any ideas/experiences with this?

And if it's an auto, manual... how many k's on the clock, last service and what was done.

Is it still pulling like a trojan or is it really sluggish?

The more detail you can give us the easier it will be for us to give an idea on what it could be. At the moment the possibilities are endless!

Cheers

Subie fuel gauges are funny, they dont read like other makes. They seem to drop very quickly to start with so at half on the gauge you will prob have more than half in the tank.

best idea is to keep a small notepad in the glovebox. Make sure you fill right up every time, record the kms travelled since last fill & the amount of fuel added.

Divide the litres of fuel by kms, multiply by 100, gives you L/100km.

Its the only way to know... ;)
