Windscreens?

Ok so this may seem a strange question lol but are there varying types of windscreen ie genuine(shudder) vs non?I live on some real shit roads and am so over replacing the things,i just got a new one for the foz less than month ago,got one very small chip and its now run and cracked.I did get quoted$600 for the windsreen for the heated one and im guessing it was genuine, of course they can shove it for that price the one i got was $250.Anyways just wondering thoughts?

next time you get a bad chip have it looked at by a windscreen repair place, or get a DIY kit. I dont know how good they are but chips have a habit of running if left

yeah i dont bother getting repairs now they cost $60 and the amount we get on these shit roads it more cost effective to just replace them once they get a few.This chip was so small but i dint even see it till it ran like the next day which is unusual to happen so quick wouldn't had time to fix it anyways :/ im adding windscreen insurance i decided lol

WTF?? heated? I think someone is pulling your leg.. you have a cabin heater for this

Most if not all aftermarket front screens are made here in Aus to Aus Standards so there is no issues with them. I'm sure they would even be better than genuine ones
