went to repco the other day to get a price on the following...
to me it sounds a bit steep but here it is..

All for L-series wagon

Bush Kit - Front controll arm $89
Bush kit- Sway bar link $38
Bush Kit- Radius Rod 16mm ID $34

ive been trying to get onto blackbox motorsport but no replies...

Thats actually much better than even the trade pricing at the store I used to work at.

Needless to say there are very few Nolathane bushes in my cars, and what is there has been matched from dimensions rather than listings.

I actually spoke to the subaru shop yesterday about bushes for my brumby, they said to steer clear of the nothalane bushes as they don't give as good a ride and to stick with OEM which are much cheaper anyway.

Now I don't expect they've used all brands of nothalane bushes so some might be better than others, however I've found that when Subaru Shop gives advice it's usually best to take it.

THE SUBARU SHOP TOLD ME THE SAME THING. so i brought sone leading rod bushes genuine from them. then justin [blackbox motorsports] and the nolathene guy gave a talk at the club and the impression i got is that the nolathene bushes have come a long way since the stiff ride jobs.So i put in a set of control arm bushes from blackbox.the control arm now has more movement up and down compared to the genuine ones.you can do repairs to the front quicker[balljoints, driveshafts] as you can pull the arm right down out of the way as opposed to the limited movement to the gen ones. the rides good ,the price is good,justin's a good bloke so i'm sold on nolathene.Just my 2 cents

from my experiences, i take everything the Subaru Shop says with a grain of salt. In actual fact, i prefer forums and creative minds to consult these days as whilst the subaru shop is good for some things, they aren't overly performance oriented. They believe stock is best with maybe some fluffy dice as your biggest modification.

i know they do mods before i get flamed, i'm just saying, if you're looking for more experienced advice, i'd be talking to people who do nothing but what it is that you are looking for.

I despise the nolathane squeak bushes I have in the rear spring shackles on my yoda. I reckon they might be more suited to control arms and sway bars.

I'm with Paul on this, apparently Weber carbs are worse than the factory Hitachi because they don't hold their tune and don't give more power anyway.

I was also told by them (and SSS Automotive) quite succinctly that it was impossible to fit an EJ to an L, and we all know where that road has led us...

I have been told by an actual Subaru Dealer shop 8O that its better to get aftermarket poly bushes than use their genuine ones
