OK, anyone in here buy a blue '85 FWD NA Vortex from an ad online, last on road about 2001, full of leaves, rat poo, missing a radiator, dash top and sporting a tow bar? and rusty discs, cylinders open to the world for at least three years, dead fuel pump

I had my eye on it and its overpriced tag for a few years. The yard where it was had, cough, allegedly had some fair trading intervention, has closed and having a bit of a clean up. Owner claims he sold it to Melbourn online. May be just to pee me off - probably had to crush it with the rest of his stock

I hope it didn't go to the crusher - what a waste!

Yeah Bennie, not really your thing, from my reckoning, but if you were to get one, get it while any kids are small and can fit in the rear seats. Sure we'd find baby bolt ponts in there


It was a shocker but pretty straight in the body, had ideas that I may have been able to secure it as a home for the local possums and rats due to the alleged attention and alleged restrictions placed on the premises allegedly a number of times. Some parts may have come in handy like the unique tow bar for the Vortex

Over the years my visits became more of a stir for the old proprietor to see if he could up the price again, or willing to sell bits (which he was not) yet the car had all panels marked with stock numbers and the radiator finally went. Never bought a thing off this guy over 25 years!!
