Anyone know of a manual steering rack available to fit an early Liberty ?
Want one for my Brumby when I put the Liberty running gear in it. It wil lbe a Sunday drive / drag car only and I am trying to keep the weight right down and want the engine bay as tidy as possible too.

can't you just block the two holes? what would that do?

No good - gearing ratio would be wrong making it extremely heavy to turn. A manual rack is not just a power rack without power

Not sure but, Considering you can use the L series rack ends and tie-rod ends on on a liberty rack to get a good p/s steering rack and it bolts to the L series cross member without mods,
Can't you then use a L series manual rack and screw the liberty rack ends and tie rod ends to it and bolt it to the lib cross-member????
Only thing is the angle thing might work in your favor, as the liberty one definitely needs a 2inch space for it to fit right.
also, i've got a manual L series rack if that will work for ya:p

What do others think? will this work?
i'm saying that as i know Gannon had a few issues with fitting a lib rack in an L series.

Maybe the angle might be better in a brumby?
