whats the go with the adjustable suspention? ive got adj rears on my L touring wagon but none on the front. But on my parts car it has front adjustable... if i put the front adjustables in the front of my good car it should raise it up a bit, and on the rear i have one more notch to raise to..... so im thinking if i get a 2"lift kit and put the suspention on the higest setting it would be even higher....
whats the go?
here are some before and after shots of low and high.....

Just remember your camber and caster will be out of whack (hey, it's not a sports car anyway) and you'll also loose about an inch down-travel in the strut, which you will notice off road.
CV joint wear will be accelerated though not drastically. Make sure you get your toe adjusted after you do it too.
Have fun!

Not sure about on the L's but on the MY's it was only ever meant as a temporary thing, not long term, I've heard of sagged torsion bars, etc from from using it too long.
I tried it on mine, all 4 wheels ran on about 20mm of the outside edge of the tyre, in about 100km it scrubed em bald, was not impressed.
On top of that if your suspension isn't 100% it'll handle like a wet sponge.
All you can really do is try it, if it doesn't cost you anything whats the loss.
Take it for a spin round the block, check your camber, caster and anything else to make sure nothing is out of whack then make your decision.

I had an 85/86 touring wagon myself years ago that did have the suspension wound up . I bought the car like that. When I came to winding it back down to nlrmal height we couldnt do it as the threads had seized . heatting brute force etc, couldnt budge it. So I took the car to a good tyre shop and had them readjust the camber etc to suit the suspension where it was. Never had a problem after that and the tyres lasted years wearing as they should do.Nor did i Have any problems with cv joints etc wearing prematurely.

Advice from someone who's been there, done that: Go the 3" kit, leave 'em wound down.

if i go the 3" lift, is it just a blot in job? do i have to change anything else? is it legal in victoria?

A 3" lift is a simple bolt in thing that will take less than a day to do in your garage at home.
As for legality . . . that's such a grey area. Let me just say you'll get away with it with minimum fuss, especially as you're in Victoria.

lift kit.... depends who you buy it through.
my springs and shocks cost me around the $1000 mark, fitted. drive in, drive out.
