Timing belts on Brumby, EA71 & EA65 ??

Post by steptoe » Fri Jul 08, 2011 10:39 am

This came printed on the outside of a timing belt kit box that went on an EA82 carby in a mates shop last night ( he nearly got tricked by timing marks to be used :-) )

Not sure what it means, whether it is a fitment guide or just to confuse like many other listings in parts suppliers books or we got ripped off in Oz and never got the EA82 fitted to our Brumbies (bit harsh on EA81, sorry)

No it is a common listing, for some reason Brumby's, MY wagons and L series Wagons are all the same car. I always get asked whether Bianca and Claudia have an EA81 or EA82, they really don't like it when i tell them the EA82 won't physically fit without Chassis mods or a big lift. :)

Yeah parts listings aren't always smart... like the new brakes and suspension catalogue at my local parts joint that lists liberty items for the L series - tie rod ends, ball joints etc. NOT HAPPY JAN! The old parts book from the same company is spot on though. Go figure.
