How much room is there in between the liftgate and the front seats?

If anyone can give me some specs, it would be appreciated.
Interior length, width, headroom etc...
I looked all over the internet and couldn't find the specs.

Typical of Western Australia,
nothing is open after 5pm, including the car dealer.
I'm not sure I want the one in the yard for $2500,
but it would have been nice to take my surfboard over to see how well it fits inside an L Series.
The dealer closes too early to grab my surfboard after work to try.

My board is 6'6" which works out to 198 cm.
If I could fit my board in diagonally between the liftgate and front seats I'd be happy with that.

If my board can't fit inside an L Series easily,
it sorta defeats the purpose of picking a wagon over a car.

Cheers

That board should fit in diagonally as you say.

Do try it though. Has the subi got roof racks? Most of them seem to, it's a pretty standard item on the L's...

Cheers

Just measured mine with the back seat folded up:
inside length = 1700mm
tailgate width = 1100mm
between wheel arches = 900mm

That's at boot floor level - there's a fair bit less room at roof height because of the slope of the glass.

it'll ge in there no worries mate... just lay the back seat down i've had 7'0+ mini-mals in the back of my old l-series can just slide them between passenger seat and door.... but you'll have no problems with a 6'6

When I had my old MY wagon I could fit a 10'2" longboard in the car just by dropping the back seat down then flattening out the front passenger seat as much as possible there was no room for passengers but I wasn't bothered by that.

A 6'6" will go in without even dropping the back seat. in fact you will get at least 4 boards of that size in but your rear passengers wont have much head room :)

I will go surfing with you I love watching beginners go sand mining :)

I must ask MR 2nd Hand Yank where in Bunbury are you Im in Australind
