Saw this on ebay, anyone have any pro's / con's on electronic rust protection in general and also is it worth going the uber expensive set ups or would something like this suffice

Cheers

i looked into this a while back, apparently they only work in extreme conditions like a steel boat at sea, otherwise they give you a false sense of protection.

i wish they did work :-(

There is one fitted to my brumby. Was on it when I got it. Can't tell you much about it but as far as I know there is no rust in the vehicle,. Could probably get back to you with the brand name tomorrow if you like. Draws very little power apparently.

Is there anything that wasn't fitted to your brumby when you got it, every little gadget I think of you have an answer for me haha

hmmm I was hoping they did work, I have seen quite a few new utes at work with them and thought for such a low price it might be worth it after all the effort we are going to

My Forester has one. She is 10 years old and not one sign of rust except on the tow bar and struts. If I ever get another car I will be getting it put in.
She has lived less than 1km away from the ocean her whole life too.

Sorry Mate..the car was apparently owned 2 guys ago by a fellow who had a car accessories shop. The car has heaps of this sort of stuff in it, some of it useful, some a bit hairy fairy. When I come to Brisbane, you can have a look if you like.
