Can anyone confirm the thread on the top of an MY or L series strut is M12x1.75?
No guessing!
This is on the 20mm crome shaft that bolts into the rubber strut top.
I'm away from home and Suby-less.

The struts that I put together worked out with 11" of travel compared to 5.5" std. Thats pretty good but after that I was swamped with work and stuff so nothing else was done. The new strut top design too has slowed me down. These are adjustable for camber so that they suit any lift up to 6" and do away with the weak factory one. I had trouble sourceing (?) the female rod ends that I want to use, but I found a new supplier while on holidays that might stock the correct size only I cant remember exactly what it is.

I can tell you that it's either 1.25 or 1.5, that's the best I can do.

BTW - I saw your new 5" strut tops the other day.
The lift kits that BYB are doing now, all laser-cut and stuff are shit hot.

brumbyrunner just so happens I just changed the springs in my L.
The thread is definatley M12 x 1.25, the same as wheel studs!

Checked the My as being the same.

All I can get is 12x1.75.
I was hoping to keep the genuine thread size so that standard front struts would be able to bolt up to my new strut tops.

If you're going to the effort of building your own strut tops why don't you just cut your own thread?

Sorry, must have mis-interpreted, by "new strut tops" I thought you meant you were making them, weren't you building the long travel front suspension?
