Nah just stick a trolley jack under the gearbox unbolt it, wiggle it out and drop the trolley jack, stick the next gearbox on the trolleyjack and do the opposite.

I've done it before ( with help ) that way, and know of others who have done it as a one man job.

When I replaced the gearbox after it only being in for a week I pulled the whole motor and box out agaiin to do it , makes it easier to line in the box in my oppinion.

If you have or have access to an engine hoist, block and tackle, etc, pulling the engine out is hands down the easiest way to do it BUT if you don't have access to these things then do it as stinky has said.

I've done it both ways and think buying my engine hoist was $300 very well spent.
