The wipers on my Brumby are a little slow for heavy rain conditions.

Has anyone done any mods to get the wipers operating faster?

If the second speed is to slow to get the rain off the windscreen, Try doing what we have done. Pull over till the rain slows off .

Try another wiper motor. They get a bit sluggish after a few years. I rebuilt my original one and it does a much better job now...

also check your wiper pivots as they seize up and the poor old motor has to fight just to move
just drown everything in rp7 or inox especially the shafts where the wiper arms bolt on

Steve, care to describe difficulty level to rebuild a motor? I can hear my pivots sound dry, and motor get slower the lower temps come in. Preventatvie maintenance issue me thinks

Thanks for all your suggestions. I'll try some Inox on the shafts first and then if necessary, look at the motor.

Rick, the "pull over to the side of the road option" is great except when the windscreen leaks like a sieve. Hopefully, when we put the windscreen back in, we'll get a waterproof seal around it.

Yeah I also have the same question. Could you tell me what is involved in rebuilding them? It is slow but the pivots seem fine with no play or squeels.
