gearbox problems

hey

i need a gearbox diagram for a 1991 model brumby ea 81 motor
i need some advise first gear wont ingage found three little peaces of
metal came out when i drained the oil im not shore if its the selector
that needs replacing or what
so any advise would much apreciated

Does it select all other gears ok?

Can you drive it?

Does it make any noise?

Can you post a pic of the "little pieces of metal"?

That'd be dual range I take it, not a rare single range box?

Pull one of these apart and you'll get more than three little pieces of other stuff too! Pulled one apart, never to go back again. Got the jigsaw out to enlarge a hole to get at a big nut at the rear of mainshaft? Seemed to be no other way.A good fix is to buy a cheap L Series with a good gearbox and shove in the tailshaft to clutch almost.....

The Gregories gave no clue on these, be nice if someone had factory manuals.

If....you can find ebay member Brumby49 by name of Phil he enjoyed rebuilding these boxes and had diagrams , if I am not mistaken
