English Brumby?

Is this particular Brumby an english model? I just remember giles showing pictures and I actually quite like the higher sides and the front grille



not exactly a lovely example though ;)

nope thats the original brumby before the body change happened in 1980 (I think)

this model was sold to the USA europe and Australia and New Zealand and is sometimes refered to as the ugly

Hehehe !:D You dont know how correct you are ! I only know of 4 of those ugly ones in the whole of the UK ! And 2 of those are show cars - so in new condition and pampered !

Overtook a (?) wagon version of one of those today with the same front - guy realised it was a Brumby and sped up but I was already gone. :)

I was chatting to my uncle today who owned a subaru parts business for 20 years and was talking about this model and his first remark was "oh those old ugly underpowered ones".............apparently I am the only one who thinks they look good haha

I have always loved the 'uglies'! It is just a shame they love to rust so completely... :(

there is one who likes to dwell at a truck stop in welshpool over here, in very good condition and i quite like the old shape.

I really like the look of these "uglies" too. I don't think I've ever seen one in real life - just pics.

I think the "ugly" in them is what makes them so unique, also that they are getting very rare.
