Sti shortshifter is a good start.
And that is not cutting the shifter and threading it!

What is your budget and what are you
going to use it for?

ok to make this less of one of those, 'read this thread its so funny and stupid' type things

what budget are you looking at playing with?
how long can you take the car off the road?
and what are you planning to do with it?

Hit your folks up in going halves in a advanced driving course. Best investment in your driving skills (and of course safety).

Other than that...

Southern Cross sticker & a cannon zorst = fail

Window tinting, stereo, keeping a well maintained car = win

and sorry about my previous comment now deleted, just somthings ive noticed from the people my age (19) do stuff that costs a lot but is incredbily useless.

as i said in the second part of the post get some good suspension and learn to drive with it, that would impress me and should impress any others out there.

forget bonnet scoops and massive cannons, along with ridiculous wings, because its not very original, way to many rex owners do that.

Modest rims, personally i think 17"s are perfect for most subaru's, and try to use genuine subie rims, they look good.

maybe put a nice looking tip on it, something that matches the rear bumper mould.
tinted windows is always good.
the less stickers the better.

but the best head turner is a car that is kept in immaculate condition.

A bonnet scoop on a non turbo car is simply lame.

Hipac is on the money. Keep your car looking neat and this will impress the most people.

And DON'T drive like a dick

A custom window tint job looks good, I like the ones that fade from silver to black.
Trying to make any mods look like they may have come from the factory goes a long way, and keeping the car clean, even the undercarriage.

Nothing outrageous, like stupidly big cannons, mega-loud subs, wanker undercarriage lighting, and those ever-so-annoying coloured parking lamps.

If you are going to stay onroad, dropping the car a LITTLE can give it a more aggressive stance, but dumping it on the ground just looks silly.

It's all a matter of taste, which is always subjective. Remember the saying, less is more?
It applies to cars.

Yeah i agree Battlewagon.
Lowering just a little bit is nice, yet still practical, dropping it a lot, will look stupid and be really annoying.
i don't agree with the fade from silver to black tint, it depends though on car colour i guess.

maybe just take a drive in an old car us older ones had to put up with as old cars in mid eighties and you will be perfectly happy with what you already have. Wash it, polish it, debadge it maybe, just a light tint and quiet sports exhaust, keep up good tyres to the AWD ....
