Hatch is back.

After a weekend of working on the hatch i have managed to get the old engine out and the new one in.

It started up first turn of the key. The only thing i am still worried about is the condition of the rings... it appears to blow a bit of grey smoke over 4000 rpm... not sure if this is related to the ECU being reset and not having time to sort itself out yet or not. Possibly just need to thicken up the oil a little. I also get a small faulter in the running of the engine when i accelerate at times... this could also be due to the ecu or dirty injectros possbily

Big thanks to...

Christian: for the engine
Andrew: for helping me pick up the engine/ lending me your engine hoist and lending a hand today.
Jaffa: For helping me remove the old engine.
Aspro: For helping me refit the new engine.
Tim: For helping locate and supply me with parts.

Total cost was $600 approx.

great to hear that it back up and running, I watched you drown it in the video post. I can see you getting out and walking every puddle from now on! are you going to go a snorkle?

There has been brain power used to seriously consider a snorkle. I have a few ideas in my head... every idea requires me to remove my HUGE navy boat battery though.

I wonder if there is a link between my car going in water and having a boat battery.

Me thinks it might be time to invest in one of those things called a ''snorkel''.
Otherwise Hatchie is gunna die again.....then you won't have anymore hatchie.

As long as i stay away from the ocean i canst see me drowning it enough to not atleast be able to save the body.
