Are there any common issues with the Subaru 2.5. I'm currently thinking about getting a 2003 Impreza RS with the 2.5 in it, and would rather find out about any common issues before I take the plunge rather than after it. I'm especially interested in any issues that are known with these motors like funny noises (eg Tappets or other), Any head issues, (eg cracking or gasket), cam belt reliability etc etc. I've found out the hard way with my EA82T over the last 6 years about the above type issues and don't want to be caught out again! PS. May be a lifted L-Series Tourer with EA82T up for grabs soon!

Another thing I can tell you the problems they have is - the crank bearings can go early, I may be wrong. Also um they had problems with the headgaskets but otherwise these engines are great engines.
