Hi all i just joined your site and i recently picked up a 92 legacy ss and i dont know to much about it. I believe they are called Liberty RS in Australia.... Since i am from the states these cars are very rare and most likely not as good looking as the versions realesed to the rest of the world
So i was wondering what yours looked like and what differences there are between the two. I know mine is a turboed 2.2 but i think they were 2.0 elswhere.... not sure.
My plan for my legacy is to convert it to the liberty rs version as best i can so if anyone can help with that it would be much apreciated.
Thanks,
Justin

Hi Justin and welcome to AUSubaru
Nice car

we in Aus didn't get the SS model and our RS is different to your car. Our RS is a EJ20 (2.0ltr) DOHC engine with the 5 speed AWD manual gearbox. They were available in Aus between 1992 and 1994 and were available in the sedan and not so popular wagon (I like the wagon). I've owned many but still have a very nice dark grey sedan in the back shed. My very first one was one I convertered (as I wanted an auto) back in the mid 90s when I worked at a importer/seller of Subaru parts. That car is still around today (Suba aka Mike) and I have a real big shot spot for the old girl. We now have a bunch of Imported models (mainly the Gen1 Ser1) in the country and they are closer looking to the ones the rallied in the late 80s and early 90s. My friend owns the car that Colin McRae won the 1993 Rally of NZ. I brought the full sticker kit (from the UK) that matches the ones that were on it in NZ and hopefully we can put them on the car and take some pics
I have a bunch of pics of my cars around at home but I'm away at work atm

will be home in 2 weeks and then I can post some.
Cheers,
Paul
