Hi all,

just wondering what my options are for replaceing the original dual range box in the Brumby. I need to expand the life span of the Brumby without spending too much time or money.

The Brumbys and M.Y. wagons were only available with the 4 speed gearbox (single or dual range) if you want anything else it will need to be a conversion. The L.Series 5 Speed dual range is a faily common conversion and you'll get plenty of help from this website :) There are plenty of other options but if you're working to a small budget then stick with the L.Series box. When the budget becomes bigger and you would like to extend the Brumbys life (engine life) have a look at fitting the EJ22 from a Liberty.. another common conversion.

Cheers,
Paul

1+ You also could use Liberty/Forester/Impreza's AWD D/R box behind EA81.
