hey guys, just asking what you would do in my place.

i have 14" sunnies with fairly big rubber. and on turning the steering wheel the tires foul on the inner-gaurd.

and on the rear i've had to lower it as could not put your fingers between the wheel and tray (very little clearance)


what would you guys do? get new smaller tires (the ones on there are near new) and that would cost, what.. $110 a corner? that would reduce ground clearance.

a lift kit, would a lift kit cause the wheels to pull towards the center of the car?
how much are these worth? $800+ ??

anything else i could do on the cheap?

if your not going to be doing that much offroad and arent too worried about CV life and such there are a few solutions.
you can get just suspension lifts that don't do anything to the body. puts more strain on the cvs but does the job quite effectively.

depending on how far you need to come out try with a few handfulls of washers and maybe some wheel spacers however make sure the ones you get can be screwed/bolted to your hubs other wise they are illigal to have floating.


or again 800 is only the price ive been told is the best selling price i can do. there are other people with access to them here who can do them much cheaper but i have not gone through them and checked the quaility or legality of these.

its all a comprimise. if you want to take the risk on the road run spacers, if your not worried about a lift kit or the CV angle go a lift or at least part of it. or start bashing those guards!!!

the L seires seems to have a fair amount of room to play with but it depends on the accesories and the like. if you want to go crazy take the whole inner guard out and then mould a new vent in that does what you want, will stop the mud but allow air in, wont stop water however

im so road tripping after these hondas are done and dusted for my new project havent decided to go back to a suby or run a suzuki

Can pick up a lift kit for $400+ and is pretty easy to install.
Or you can just wind of the front springs but will have a negative effect on handling and tire/cv wear.
Or you can be rough and us the BFH technic.
Before using a lift kit I just avoided tight turns.

i tried winding up the torsion bar in the rear and shocks in the front, but the higher you go, the closer the wheels get to the guards = no good
