quick help with me brakes

quick help with me brakes
Just need a quick tip, how do you compress the cylinder when changing the brake pads on a brumbyu, got new bendix pads and am trying to fit them with no luck, the cylinder doesnt seem to want to depress enough to fit the new pads... what am I doling wrong?

Because it has a handbrake mechanism, you need to wind the pot back in. I cant remember if it is clockwise or anti.
I used a pair of pliers with the jaws open to slot into the pot, kinda hard to explain

Yup, this is why you have to wind them when you replace the pads, There is a ratchet that clicks down as the pads wear
