Opinions wanted: Gen2 front bumper...

Post by Venom » Fri Aug 27, 2010 1:55 pm

I found this front bar on Import Monster while looking for Gen2 goodies. I have never seen one before. I like it because it has factory fog lights, but without the reduced clearance of a RX bar. Not sure on the looks though, what do you guys think?

I've seen them over in NZ, they are extremely rare, there is also a bar without nudge bar & fog lights but has spotlights fitted - they're more common to this one above.
If i could get my hands onto this I would buy one.
Cheers

I like the fog lights and the maintenance of clearance but other than that it does nothing for me

I nearly bought one for mine about 5yrs ago but wasn't willing to pay the $300 the importer wanted, he had a few at the time, probably still sitting there lol. But I like them because they are different and you could stick some decent spotties where the fog lights are, made out of a really strong thin plastic unlike most bars.

G'day Rhys

I reckon those pics don't really give us the real perspective of the bar's look. Either way leave it be - it'll only REALLY REALLY piss you off when someone backs into your subi again :(

If you like it then what we say really doesn't matter - you've already got a sick lib and I know you'll only make it better!

Cheers

Interesting point about the plastic been stronger. I would not have consider they would make a stronger plastic bumper. Mainly considering it for something different, extra lights, keeping stock clearance, incorporated nudge bar, etc :D Not sure its worth the $250 IM costs + the price of the bar. Really not that cheap at the end of the day.

I would like to see this bar with a set of Morette headlights. It would either be really fuggin ugly or really cool :P

Does nothing for me. And low-mounted lights are generally useless.

I'd keep saving for a proper bullbar.

Some Foresters have plastic front guards, it's very similar to them, very hard & thin, I guess pretty light too, maybe to make up for the nudge bar & extra set of lights ??????
