Sorry if the title sounds misleading - a fella was telling me how he remembered the ad on telly for the Brumby. He described an innovative fella (must still be on this board?) who started with a wagon and fashioned himself a ute out of it when lo and behold Subaru produced thir own ute based on their little 4WD wagon, and it drove by..... wonder if anyone can find that on youtube??
Dunno if it was the ugly Brumby or MY based

I remember the ad it was for the first brumby or the ugly as everyone calls, it the farmer wanted a light 4wd ute to use on the farm so he cut the roof off his wagon only to have another farmer drive in at the end of the ad in his brumby
it made me want a brumby ute at the age of 11 or 12

Yike's Subarus advertised on TV !:o
Once in a blue moon and I mean as often as the preverbial hens tooth shows up we see a Legacy (liberty) ad on late night (cheap slot) TV here.
Cost of TV ad's here means we get the usual To$£ta Hyundia Kia Ford ovloV merc beemer vauxhall nissan the bigger volume stuff - but very rarely do we see Scoob ad's.
Would love to see the Brumby ad someone - pls keep diggin'

I don't know if anyone was watching TV the other night, but one of the current affair shows did a story on a family that had had a couple of generations all competing on TV game shows through the years.. Anyway, the mother had been on that come on down show with Ian Turpie.."if the price is right" thats it. Anyway at the end she had a golf putt of about 3feet and she won a new car..would you believe it was a beige brand new brumby ute.
