G'day,
has anyone heard of anyone putting and
adjustable rear end in an l series body?
EJ, custom or otherwise?
Cheers,
Sam

are you talking diff or suspension??
look into the 5 stud conversions cause i think they use the rex rear suspension or parts of it.
but someone on here was talking of putting a wrx lsd into a ej L series thinking TEX but not sure

Big job. Have you had a look under a Liberty?
I presume you want to do this to a Vortex because otherwise it would be cheaper to upgrade to something that already has the 5 link rear end.

VERY BIG JOB!!!
ive made some for the front of my L but im too lazy to put them on =)
id start with the cross bred kit though, for the simple reason they modify the bolt holes like you need them

Consider a gen 3 liberty (multi link) as it is similar to the l series in ways as it uses a coil over shock rather than a strut like a l series so you may be able to keep the original coil over mounting.
Also the diff and all but the suspension arms mount to a frame that is then bolted to the body. This could be modified to bolt to the l series and you would then only need to mount the trailing arm in the right place and hope the strut tower lines up (does not need to be perfect)
Sounds ok in theory!

Yeah I've had a look, seems like u may need
to remove the standard fuel tank.
Or make it out of moly tube and use
some gucci angles!
I've wasted alot of hours thinking of this lol
And yes, For a vortex
spike, if I could fit a liberty rear under my vortex,
I'd modify the front control arms myself and
and not need the kit

I Like your theory

I've not seen under a later model lib,
only early

I'll have to check it out!

Talk to or read Tristan's threads (90Brumby) he used the complete liberty rear x-member in his Brumby which isn't that much different to the L

That was the rear end I was
thinking of!
But I can't see how
the trailing arms are mounted?
