Fuel Pump Issues

Post by brumbydan » Mon Aug 02, 2010 10:36 pm

Hi all,

Has anybody had any electrical issuses with the fuel pump in the brumby?

I have put power across the pump to check it hadn't died and purs away like it should. And the fuel pump fuse is still good.

Is there any relays, joints or any thing helpful to get the Brumby back on the road.

Isn't there a safety circuit thingy to cut power to fuel pump on say a roll over or accident or just anything where pump is stopped with ignition ON and engine not running....?

yes there is it is on the passenger side(or it should be) of the car behind the seat (cab wall) pull the plastic and you will see a relay with between 4-6 wires have fun

I'm not 100% sure as I'd need a wiring diagram to check but I believe there is a relay that runs of the negative side of the coil (so like steptoe says.. it will cut when the engine stops after an accident)

Have you done any work recently to the car?
