Brumby at Toowoomba Wreckers

Just posting that there appears to be a complete brumby sitting high and dry at Brook street wreckers in Toowoomba. From where I see, it has bull bar, tow bar and I think the bonnet and tailgate appear to be in good condition. There is also a red shell behind it.

Look, I'll go in and see them on Monday and see what the story is and whether they want to break it up. I only looked at it from the road. The reason that I posted it here was that I know straight tailgates are getting hard to find. My brumby in the signature has a fibreglass tailgate in fact. Giles in England has expressed interest in a few things as well but anyhow I'll have a look whats there. It is called, Brooker Street Wreckers in Toowoomba Qld.

Ok...there has been a development here. I have been to this wrecking yard today and it is called Brook Street Wreckers in Toowoomba phone 07 4637 9877.

Now the bullbar he wants $250 for. It looks straight but needs a good clean. The tailgate in first inspection looks good and he wants $200. But there's more.

Hidden down the back I found an MY coupe and it looks real straight like its just been parked. Saw a bit of rust bubble under the back window but initial inspection it looks complete and straight and like it could be brought back from the dead. And guess what, I found where those wheels came from on EBAY. He had a buyer but they are still for sale and they came from the hot pink coupe.

And Giles, only mudflaps on the back and they look weather beaten and torn. That's it folks, the dash is there...photos here..couldn't get real close.

That little pink coupe was on ebay a month or so ago...

Looks like you've got a good yard up there - especially if the guys are easy to deal with.

Cheers

Its a bit hard to get at where he's got it, but I would give him a ring on 07 46379877. It would be a shame to see it finish like this. It looks to be complete and straight.

A friend of mine in Toowoomba is buying this pink MY coupe shown in this thread less engine and gearbox.

He is not on the forum but has had his share of brumbies and wagons, still has two MY wagons at his house.

Plans for the coupe at this stage is probably an EJ22 with the rear end from one of his wagons shoved under the back. Will keep people posted. Nice to see someone saved it.

So the scurge of the girlie pink car continues un-abated !:mrgreen:
In the last few years pink cars (for girls) seems to have gathered pace here.
Honda, Nissan, Ford all offering factory pinks for the Girls to choose for their new motors! (on thier girlie specials)
Plus of course a rise in the re-spray's of poor unsuspecting cars to various shades of shocking pink! eheheh!
Ford even now offer the latest fiesta in what looks like pink nail varnish colour !
Ummm !
Time for us guys to start demanding matt black and karki (!!)

What does anyone think would be the best and worst colour combo's for your favourite Truck / Waggon / car ?

MVBrumbrat - Best = Red or World rally blue
Worst = Lilac or light metallic green and of course pink.

Have to confess I did seriously consider a very bright yellow for Scoob early on - just to be different !
Slinks away from computor.................

In my early days, I was always prone to buy green cars, but not available in the brumby. White's fine because you can add to it.

I'm not really partial to any colour. I visit a lot of hot rod shows and you'll always see great colour combinations there.
