hey,
so the key on my liberty is pretty well rooted (looks like crap) but still works fine.
is there somewhere i can get either a new casing or a whole key besides subaru?
they have overly exorberant prices for a new key.
its from a my02 lib, i believe all subarus of that age have the same looking key.

Probably a little of topic but the key ignition barrel in my daily brumby shat itself. The key comes on but the start does nothing. Being getting worse for a while. Came to a head the other morning in the freezing cold and half light trying to start the car with a screw driver across the starter, running late for work and can't find the torch.
I just bought a push button from auto pro with a rubber boot over the top $7.00. Wired it into the ignition on side panel and no more probs. Wiring was onto the ignition so if key wants to work when motor warms up, fine. Otherwise push button. Button does not work when key is off.

I bought one of those ebay key blanks a few days ago, just waiting for it to turn up.
I will let you know how it goes!
