Have had ours since the middle of March and absolutly love it. With 90% of the first 2 tanks being done around town we are still getting over 900kms per tank. Only issue so far is a wind noise around the front windscreen which I will get looked at at the first service.
You won't be dissapointed!!

These are deceptivley fast (once run in). On the roll the torque of the engine allows hassle free Beemer / Audi busting acceleration. The 149 BHP is actually adequate for the speed stuff / economy equation. Mine will also willingly buzz up to the red line without protest -if you prefer to drive it that way. Turbine SMMOOTTHHOutback bloke wrote:Absolutely awesome torque and it would be great for towing as long as you never wanted to over take or accelerate. It is a a pity the power is only 110kw. It would be too slow for my liking. You can't complain about the mileage at all. Over 1000k's to a tank.
My only gripe is that I for one would like a little bit more right from off the floor (maybe this feel is to do with the size / weight of the Outback - could be a better 'feeling' in this area in the Diesel Impreza???)
This engine is as close as it gets to petrol smooth.
Its not a WRX / STI - wasnt meant to be but it sure as hell holds up all the best Subaru traditions. CRACKING ENGINE!
Oh - if I could find one in a rear ended write off I would seriously consider putting it in the MV / Brumby .....Now that would be ACE.
