Looks like I am going to attempt to turbo my EA81
If you own or have owned turboed EA81 or EA82 and know something about them and don't mind me picking your brains, please just leave hello in here so I know who to call upon.
Currently interested to know about the turbo EA81 crossmember modification..photo ?
and on the look out for a turbo out of EA82 is that VF2 or VF4
thanks, Jono

Done all this recently Jono so if l can help feel free,
As for the crossmember, l did send shultzie a whole series of photo's of the modification needed to be done, (but as l have since replaced my PC no longer have a copy of these photo's myself), so give him a try if he's still around, they go from stock crossmember to finished turbo type, hope this helps.
By the way, how did you go on your parts hunt? did you get what you need to begin your project.
Pete.

Schultzie has been PM'd with my email addy.
and thanks for the offers and photos.
waiting on Andrews crossover pipe from EA82T won on ebay last week.
when I get that, the turbo search will be on
noticed rear disc L series disc brakes up for sale somewhere here.likely to be a requirement if the conversion is for keeps.
Um, redskin, did you go the rear wheel dics ?

Howdy Jono, yes l did, l felt the increase in power justified it, l'm not sure about anybody else, but l think it improved braking quite a bit over the standard set-up.
btw, the photo's of the crossmember conversion l did will not show the patch l welded on the inside of the cut. What l did was weld the cut from the top, then l welded a shaped, (oxy and hammer), 3mm steel patch on the inside of the crossmember over the affected area and finished it off with a full seam weld. 100% legal.
